Laura Mvula at the Paradiso

Laura Mvula’s sold out show at the Paradiso, Amsterdam is now available to cinema audiences. Curzon Sheffield will be screening the exclusive event on the 5th March at 7:30pm.

The concert film will be introduced by Mvula herself, live from London, and followed by an acoustic set broadcast live. ‘Sing to the Moon’, Mvula’s debut album which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, is the centrepiece of the concert; performed with a unique orchestral accompaniment from the world-renowned Metropole Orkest.

Mvula is the winner of two MOBO awards, an Urban Music Award and was twice nominated at the 2014 BRIT awards; while the 52 strong Metropole Orkest is one of the most renowned jazz and pop orchestras in the world, nominated for an impressive 16 Grammys. Such an intriguing composition of soul and classical music, set against a gorgeous background in the Paradiso, Amsterdam, makes this a must-see.
