4 Sports Bets to Boost Your Bank Balance for 2024

December traditionally puts a strain on household finances, with people often splashing the cash to ensure they enjoy the Christmas festivities.

On that basis, the opportunity to grab some extra money to keep your bank balance nicely in the black could be a tempting proposition.

With that in mind, we have scoured the upcoming schedules to come up with four sports bets we think could pay dividends over the next few weeks.

Ronnie O’Sullivan – UK Snooker Championship – York

While Ronnie O’Sullivan is in the latter stages of his illustrious snooker career, he remains a formidable force on the green baize when he is in the mood.

The UK Snooker Championship at York is one of his favourite events and he leaps off the page at odds of 5/1 to win the tournament this year.

O’Sullivan has lifted the trophy on a record seven occasions, putting him ahead of snooker legends Steve Davis (six) and Stephen Hendry (five) in the all-time standings.

The 47-year-old has a habit of blowing hot and cold these days, but he always gives this event his full attention and looks a good bet to add another victory to his CV.

Impaire Et Passe – Hatton’s Grace Hurdle – Fairyhouse

Top Irish horse racing trainer Willie Mullins regularly has the bookmakers running for cover and he could be set to hit them hard in early December.

His Impaire Et Passe is set to compete in the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on his way to a possible tilt at the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham next March.

The top betting sites in Ireland for 2023 rate the horse as the second favourite for the latter race and he will need to perform well at Fairyhouse to justify that status.

Impaire Et Passe was a brilliant winner of the 2023 Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham and could be a viable contender to become the two-mile hurdling champion this season.

Bravemansgame – King George VI Chase – Kempton Park

Bravemansgame remains at the forefront of the betting for the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day despite suffering a shock defeat at Haydock over the weekend.

The eight-year-old travelled supremely well under jockey Daryl Jacob, but was ultimately outpaced by six-and-a-half-length winner Royale Pagaille.

However, Nicholls will likely have left something to work on, which should boost the horse’s chances of going back-to-back in the big race at Kempton.

With Jockey Harry Cobden set to be reunited with Bravemansgame in the King George, the combination are a good bet top deliver a winning return to punters over the festive period.

Gerwyn Price – PDC World Darts Championship – London

The upcoming PDC World Darts Championship at the Alexandra Palace in London has a wide-open look it, with several players holding a genuine chance of winning the title.

The bookies rate Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen as the joint favourites to win the tournament, and that pair are seeded to meet in the semi-finals.

However, 2021 world champion Gerwyn Price appeals as the value bet despite landing in what looks to be a tricky quarter of the draw.

That could work in his favour, with Price the type of player who thrives when he is pushed. Odds of 5/1 to win the title look too good to ignore.
