The White Room Bridal Boutique is delighted to announce Kate Harrod as their in-house designer.
 
Kate, winner of “Bridal Buyer” 2011 “Student Bridal Designer of the Year”, is to head up a service that will initially offer a capsule collection of Bridesmaids gowns with a couture service for Mother of the bride.  Kate won the award with her Russian inspired wedding gown made of leather and tissue chiffon and blew the judges away!
 
Initially launching with a capsule collection of bridesmaid gowns and offering a couture service for Mother of the bride, the service will be retailed under the “White Room Maid by Kate Harrod” label
 
Owner of The White Room, who are stockist for Jenny Packham, Cymbeline, Claire Pettibone and Stephanie Allin, Chloe Curry explains:
 
"We want The White Room to be about individuality and dedication to a brides desires for her wedding.  We knew from our research when looking at opening The White Room that we wanted to bring something young, contemporary and fresh into the industry.  When we spoke to Kate about supporting her as a designer, it became rapidly evident that we could all see a natural extension to the exclusive designers and service that we offer our brides into an initial bridesmaid and mother of the bride collection.  The lack of options for a bride and her maids to find gowns that complimented our more individual style of bridal gowns, coupled with varying body shapes and lack of ability to express personality and the wedding theme, is something that a great many of our brides had expressed a frustration about.  Kate is an extremely talented designer but more, she has the drive and view around quality that we know our brides and their party will love.  The initial collection will revolve around offering an alternative to the high street and off-the-peg ranges that currently exist.  A large amount of effort has gone into ensuring that we hit an “achievable exclusive” price point for our brides and her party."
