After months of speculation it has finally been confirmed that Tramlines Festival will be moving to Hillsborough Park for their 2018 edition.
Sarah Nulty, the festival director, said:
“I’m delighted that our license for Hillsborough Park has been approved. We can now put our plans into practice as we celebrate the 10th anniversary with the biggest and best Tramlines to date.
The first line-up announcement will be early next year so please keep an eye on our website and social media channels. We are working closely with Sheffield city council on the city centre proposition to ensure that it remains a core part of the weekend and more information on those plans will be released in the new year.”
As with every change, not everyone will be happy about it! Tramlines fans will remember their first relocation from Devonshire Green to Ponderosa was met with some initial resistance.
But as with the last move, it suggest Tramlines will be scouting out more bigger acts to grow the festival. In our eyes it’s an exciting development and we’re stoked for Tramlines to get bigger and bigger.
Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more.
