Award-winning chef Tom Lawson is set to open his flagship restaurant, Tom Lawson at The Psalter, a tasting menu–only experience housed inside the newly relaunched boutique hotel and bar in leafy south-west Sheffield.
Best known for his modern take on British cuisine and an impressive track record that includes over a decade in the Michelin Guide and a trio of AA Rosettes, Lawson is bringing a new level of fine dining to the city – one rooted in seasonality, creativity and top-tier technique.

The restaurant will serve a carefully curated tasting menu that puts sustainability and local produce front and centre, all delivered in an elegant, intimate setting with just 32 covers available per evening from Thursday to Saturday.
“This new restaurant is a real passion project – it’s about returning to the roots of what makes fine dining exciting: seasonality, creativity, and attention to every last detail,” said Lawson. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’re building at The Psalter, and the dining room is the heart of that vision.”

While the tasting room adds a touch of exclusivity to the venue, The Psalter isn’t just for special occasions. The bar and lounge will continue to serve its popular small plates menu daily, alongside their signature Sunday roast and newly launched bottomless brunch.
Bookings for Tom Lawson at The Psalter are now open ahead of its official launch on Thursday 1st May – and with limited seats available each night, early reservations are very much encouraged. Head to psaltersheffield.co.uk to get yours.
