Historic city centre boozer The Three Tuns has taken to Facebook to announce that the pub will ‘cease trading’ with immediate effect.
The statement said: “The Three Tuns pub has ceased trading, myself and Kieron would like to thank all our regular customers for their support in the past year. I am sure the pub will be back open with a new tenant soon and wish them all the best with their new venture. I have messaged Doug about his Wednesday quiz and when he finds a new venue we will let everyone know.
“Although it was a hard decision after a very tough (and warm and sunny) summer we didn’t have the capital to carry on and couldn’t get further into debt to keep it running. Thanks again. Ed & Kieron.”
Despite the pub’s closure, the search for a new landlord is underway.
