West Street’s Maida Vale bar is set open a second venue, this time in Liverpool, after four successful years in Sheffield.
The venue is to open in Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter later this month and will have a strong emphasis on live music, Britpop and indie tunes with DJs and bands to be booked in six days a week.
Whilst the Sheffield bar will remain open, a lot of the decor in the West Street venue will be replicated for the opening in Merseyside.
Gavin Richards, managing director, said: “After Maida Vale’s success in Sheffield over the past four years we are thrilled about the launch of our new venue in Liverpool. The Cavern Quarter is internationally renowned for its musical heritage and we’re thrilled about becoming a part of it.”
Maida Vale opened on West Street in Sheffield in 2014. The venue’s second bar will open in Liverpool on 25 August.
