Sheffield City Council has launched an initiative to find a new co-working or business centre operator to occupy an office building located on 38 Carver Street.
The 26,000 sq ft building has five storeys of enclosed office space with an atrium running from the first floor up. It also boasts 20 parking spaces along with the possibility to develop a roof garden.
Located on Carver Street, the building sits within a prosperous business district. Of which, the surrounding area is rapidly developing under the Heart of the City II scheme. It is for this reason the Council are searching for an occupier for the building. The Council seek a a leading co-working or business centre operator that will contribute to the dynamic project.
While the building is in stable condition, some renovations will be involved. In particular, work on mechanical and electrical services to bring it up to a more modern standard will be required. However, the Council have agreed to work with the selected tenant to make these refurbishments.
Councillor Mazher Iqbal, Cabinet Member for Business and Investment at Sheffield City Council, said: “We are deliberately targeting a co-working operator as we want to provide more opportunities for smaller and start up companies within the creative and digital industries, to help them build a city centre base and grow their businesses.”
The property will be formally marketed until 10th May 2019. The letting agents for the building are colloco, Cushman & Wakefield and Lambert Smith Hampton.
