With their distinctly British twist on roots reggae, London outfit Shanty are set to come to Sheffield on March 13. The band have gained a lot of attention from the likes of BBC Radio 1xtra’s David Rodigan, Louder Than War and Fred Perry Subculture. Following gigs with none other than Madness, Bastille and The Wailers, plus top slots at festivals up and down the country including Glastonbury, Bestival and Secret Garden Party; the band fronted by vocalist Benjamin Wallis and grime MC Levi Gordon will be coming to Yellow Arch Studios this month. Support comes from local reggae band Rogue Siesta and Simmerdown DJs.
