Park Hill is soon to see the next stage in its makeover from city eyesore to cultural quarter as the grounds are transformed to become a permanent sculpture park.

Sculpture Park Hill will launch on Saturday 30th September with its installation, Park Hill Plinths by British artist Keith Wilson, which will comprise of five disc-shaped concrete plinths dotted over the 3.5 acre site.

The exhibition is the product of a collaboration between the artist, landscape architects ‘to-studio’ and two key names in Park Hill’s ongoing transformations: property developers Urban Splash and S1 Artspace, who have recently moved their studios to the site.

The event is also a chance to have a look the ongoing renovations for S1 Artspace’s new temporary premises in the former garage block, which will become a new public gallery and artist studios to be officially opened later in 2017. An exhibition of Wilson’s studio works alongside archival film and photographs showing the changing nature of the interior landscapes at Park Hill will be presented across S1’s new premises.
