Sheffield BID’s festive experience Santa’s Post Office will open in Sheffield city centre this weekend (17 November), offering a fully immersive experience for children and their families.
Following the success of its debut last year with 15,000 people coming through the door, the Post Office has been moved to Barker’s Pool to accommodate a much larger festive haven. We’ve heard whispers of actual elves and reindeer making an appearance…
Santa’s Post Office is again free, with the organisers hoping to increase footfall in the city centre in the run up to Christmas. Diane Jarvis, Sheffield BID manager, said: “As more people choose to do their Christmas shopping online, it’s important the city centre offers something magical to encourage families to visit.
“Sheffield BID has once again transformed an empty retail unit into Santa’s Post Office, adding to the city centre’s festive feel and providing a special experience for families to enjoy. With more space this year, Santa’s Post Office hopes to welcome even more visitors and provide a boost to footfall in the run up to Christmas.”
Santa’s Post Office will open on 17 November and will be open from 10am – 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and 4pm – 7pm on Thursdays until 16 December. From 17 – 24 December Santa’s Post Office will be open from 10am – 4pm daily (7pm Thursday).
