It’s time to turn back the clocks to a golden era of punks, rude boys, mods and rockers for a night of chart toppers and cult classics from the 70s and 80s, with Sheffield star artist Pete McKee leading the charge to unite these subcultures under one banner, that glowing red neon sign of The Leadmill.

Following on from his exhibition at Weston Park Museum, Pete wants to recapture that time of sheer clan fashion fascination and dress code on 4 May.

He said “I want this event to be a great excuse to get dressed in your best tucker, have a dance and relive those glory days.”

Pete is spinning cold, choice cuts from his personal vinyl collection, alongside veteran Leadmill DJ Adam Morley for four hours of throwback to the era where turntable was king and true, quality analogue sound was the only thing that mattered.

But there’s more than just tunes on offer, expect an exclusive games room featuring vintage arcade machines and a cool collaboration with Sheffield Staple, granelli’s sweets who are chucking on a retro tuck shop to really give that youth club vibe. Expect dolly mixture with your daiquiri and cola bottles with your vodka cokes!

Expect to hear Spandau to The Specials, Duran Duran to Dead or Alive, The Jam to Joy division and T-Rex to Tears for Fears in room one and for room two, late night radio and some deep cuts.
