Sheffield artist Pete McKee has joined forces with Leah’s Yard and Orchard Square to launch a free family Easter trail to celebrate local creativity and community spirit.

Running from Saturday 28 March until Sunday 12 April, the egg hunt invites families to explore two of Sheffield’s most characterful city centre destinations in search of McKee-designed Easter eggs.

Orchard Square Manager Shay Murray said: “The collaboration between Orchard Square, Leah’s Yard and Pete McKee celebrates Sheffield’s unique blend of art, heritage and independent retail – creating a free, fun, seasonal event that will bring people into our vibrant and dynamic city centre.”

Join in the excitement by grabbing a map and embarking on the trail from Leah’s yard to Orchard square, searching high and low for the distinctive McKee-designed eggs.

Once a full set of Mckee eggs are discovered, children can head to the Pete Mckee gallery in Leah’s Yard to receive a complimentary Easter bonnet to decorate .

Free Easter bonnet decorating workshops will take place for children on Wednesday 8 April and Thursday 9 April to add to the festivities.

Encouraging families to make a day of their Easter outing, the hunt also rewards participants with exclusive discounts and vouchers from independent retailers and cafés at Orchard Square and Leah’s Yard.
