Sheffield’s infamous swingers’ club La Chambre is hosting an open evening this weekend (26 January) to celebrate 20 years in business.
Owners Barry and Marie Calvert opened the club in 1998 and currently have more than 25,000 members from all over Britain, who regularly make the journey to Attercliffe for the bar’s fetish and themed nights.
Speaking to the Star, Barry said: “We want people to come in and see what we are all about. It is a chance for people to see inside the club and see what facilities we offer and whether they would be interested in joining the swinging scene.”
The members’ only club will be open to visitors between 7pm and 10pm – but will only be open for people to tour the building. No sexual activity will be allowed, despite the phone lines reportedly rammed with customers enquiring about membership.
The public will be allowed to enjoy a drink at the bar, mix with others and tour the famous building which includes a fully equipped bondage dungeon, sauna and pool and a series of ‘play rooms’ where, one would assume, Le Chambre’s members…y’know…hang out.
That’s this month’s Exposed Vs challenge sorted, then…
