Established in 1999, Buzz is a charity dedicated to helping the people of Sheffield and enabling positive social connections. The Broomhall-based charity will be celebrating its 20 year anniversary at Theatre Deli on the 6th April with a big fundraising party.
Buzz promises a spectacular evening that will include tons of entertainment including music, comedy and magic. There will be a fantastic line-up performing at the charity birthday bash featuring artists such as Alannah Wood, Grok Enrol, The Rooves, Ian Dury and the Blackheads, The Bowie Contingent as well as local DJs Andrew Smith and Jason Richford. The event will also include performances by the Sheffield University Salsa society and the Korean Dance society, tombola with a twist, food, and even a family chill room with games.
Over the past 20 years, Buzz has been able to offer support to over 15,000 people through their sessions and establishing positive social change. Currently, the charity provides youth sessions in Broomhall and Sharrow to young people at risk of gang involvement, groups for older isolated people, ‘The Den’ a mobile play pod for children with complex needs, fire, water and road safety workshops and a Child Contact Centre. Buzz is also a social enterprise delivering mobile childcare for corporate and private customers. Any profit is invested straight back into projects in the community.
Tickets are priced £10 for adults, £5 for teenagers, and under 12’s can join for free! All the funds will help the charity’s work in Sheffield and allow Buzz to continue supporting vulnerable people and building a stronger community.
