The Leadmill will host a special tribute to The Prodigy’s Keith Flint, who has sadly died at the age of 49.

Due to popular demand, the tribute will be hosted in room 3 of the club on Saturday night (9 March) giving fans the chance to pay their respects and donate to local mental health charity Sheffield Mind.

Prodigy band mate Liam Howlett took to Instagram to share the news earlier today: “Our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend. I’m shell shocked, fuckin angry, confused and heart broken.”

The Leadmill said: “Here at The Leadmill we’re absolutely devastated to hear of the death of Keith Flint, singer of The Prodigy. Keith Flint has inspired many of our staff here at The Leadmill with his riotous reputation, and talent in crossing multiple musical genres. They were one of the bands we approached when we first started planning our Don Valley outdoor shows – unfortunately we could never quite make the dates work. Keith was an absolute legend of the music scene who will be missed by many.

“We have received several requests to put on something special in his honour this weekend. This Saturday at The Leadmill we will be paying tribute to his legacy with a set of The Prodigy’s biggest dance and rock anthems in our room 3. Please come down to pay your respects. There will also be a chance to donate to the local mental health charity, Sheffield Mind, on the night.”
