CODE nightclub, on Eyre Street, is set to be resurrected for a second time, this time for a Halloween special followed by a run of ‘stripped-back, warehouse-style events’.
Originally closed in October 2022 due to a huge hike in electricity bills, it reopened again in January 2023 after owners negotiating a reduced rent with their landlord, only to close again a couple of months later in March 2023.
Now owners of the Exposed Award-winning nightclub have announced a further return from the dead this later month, and tickets for the Halloween rave at the popular student venue are selling fast.
Announcing the news on Instagram they said: “After we walked away in March of this year we thought it would be the end.
“But with no luck finding a buyer we’re running a few stripped-back, warehouse-style events while we find a new custodian.

“There’s no bells and whistles this time, just two banging sound systems and a load of heavy-duty lighting. Students of Sheffield… Welcome Home.”
First release tickets for the Halloween Rave on 31 October, with the tagline ‘A Monster Is Awakened’, have already sold out, but second release tickets priced at £10 tickets are still available, along with £150 VIP packages including entry and drinks for six people.
Tickets are available here.
