Indietracks Festival Comes to Derbyshire

July sees Indietracks festival return to the Derbyshire countryside, featuring some of the best independent and DIY pop music including British Sea Power, Honeyblood and The Lovely Eggs. With the festival just around the corner, Jemma Hepson spoke to festival head honcho, Nat Hudson.

What’s Indietracks like?
Each year around 50 new and established DIY / indie pop artists perform across a range of stages at the festival. Visitors are free to enjoy steam train rides, railway attractions and museums, discos, art and craft workshops, great food and a selection of real ales. How long has this been going on?
2018 will be our 12th year! The first Indietracks events took place in 2007, and we’ve been running every year since. Previous artists include Saint Etienne, Teenage Fanclub, Camera Obscura, The Go! Team, Cate Le Bon, Gruff Rhys, Allo Darlin’, The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, Art Brut, The Hidden Cameras, The Wedding Present, Slow Club and Emmy The Great. Read more on our Previous events page.

Compilation albums!
Every year we release a download compilation album featuring bands playing at the festival. All proceeds go to the Midland Railway charity. Indietracks compilations
