If your May Bank Holiday plans are still up in the air, add an old-school raving twist to your Saturday: trainers on, nostalgia turned up, and all in aid of a great cause.

On Saturday 3 May, Yellow Arch Studios will host the biggest event yet from local collective 6 DJ Dads, who are bringing Haçienda icon Jon DaSilva to the decks for a special daytime ‘Fundraver’. Running from 1pm till 6pm, this unique party promises a feel-good afternoon of acid house, classic cuts and community spirit.

The line-up includes Sheff scene favourites Solid State (aka Richard Hardcastle) and Green – both regulars at Palais – plus the DJ Dads themselves: Disco Bob, DJ Si, Ben C, Duane, Bahra and Chris M, several of whom are also proud parents of students at Sheffield Music School.

And it’s all for a brilliant cause. Every ticket sold will raise money for the Sheffield Music School, which supports and develops the next generation of young musicians, producers and DJs across the city.

Past events at Dorothy Pax, Cambridge Street Collective and Yellow Arch have seen the Fundraver grow into a much-loved fixture, but this May’s event is shaping up to be the most ambitious yet.

Advance tickets are £12 (plus booking fee) and available now via Resident Advisor:
