Billy Bragg to stream free gig in aid of Leadmill campaign
At 8pm on Saturday 16 May, singer-songwriter and political campaigner of over 30 years, Billy Bragg, will be hosting a Live Stream from his Facebook page to support The Leadmill’s campaign to raise vital funds for their iconic venue and the Music Venue Trust Crisis Fund.
The MVT Crisis fund has been set up to ensure that all of the UK’s grassroots venues that closed on March 23 are able to re-open when it is safe to do so. The Leadmill were planning on celebrating their 40th Birthday with a year-long program of special events, but the Covid-19 crisis has sadly jeopardised those plans and now instead they are focusing helping to raise funds for a vital cause.
