Popular Trippet Lane boozer The Dog & Partridge has announced that Olu Babalola of soul food specialists Wing Kings will taking over kitchen duties from tomorrow, Feb 1.
Olu, a professional basketball player currently with Sheffield Sharks, picked up the recipes while studying in South Carolina from a old woman called ‘Mama’. The secret ingredients behind her tasty seasonings had been in her family for over 100 years, but she was fond of Olu and decided to pass them down.
After a successful run of pop-up events, Olu’s Kitchen will be serving lunch and dinner dishes at the Dog, seven days a week, and on the menu you will find a selection of their famed wings, sandwiches, burgers, desserts, and other soulful offerings such as beef, Guinness and potato stew with dumplings.
