A vegan pie shop is set to open in Sheffield in October, taking the place of the recently-closed Burger Garden on Abbeydale Road.

3.14 The Vegan Pi Company will officially launch on 1 October, but has already opened its doors for a soft launch last week (7 September).

The pies will be hand-made at the restaurant’s own bakery with all ingredients locally sourced. According to the menu, the eatery will have around 20 pies on the menu, including daily specials. For the soft launch, vegan chicken tandoori and a ”full English” pie were on the menu.

Announcing the news on Facebook, the restaurant said: “You may have caught our pop up at The Moor Market. Or you may have been tucking in to our delicious pies at The Plant or The Burger Garden. Well now we’ve decided to take on a permanent residence at Abbeydale Road. We’ll be taking over the lease from The Burger Garden so we can continue to keep it a vegan space.”
