West Street boozer Wick At Both Ends is set to close temporarily for a refurbishment, but not before hosting a ”drink the bar dry” party on St Patrick’s Day.
Taking to Facebook, the Wick said: “You may of heard a rumour or two! We are having a huge ‘Drink the Bar Dry’ party for St Patrick’s Day shenanigans.”
The bar will be chucking out pints for as cheap as £2.50 a pop before it closes on 18 March. “Why you say? We are long overdue a refurbishment and the venue is getting some well deserved TLC, so why not throw a big St Paddy’s day party for you lovely folk!”

The Wick will be back open on 23 March with a re-opening party. “Come and celebrate The Wick at Both Ends as you know and love and get ready for the next chapter in The Wick’s story.”
The Wick will be reopening with a new cocktail menu along with a new food menu from Twisted Pizza.
