Sheffield’s first dedicated Parmo house has arrived on Ecclesall Road.
Originating in the north-east of England, the parmo combines pizza and a piece of breaded chicken, “married together in an oven”.
The parmo attracted national interest earlier this year when Gateshead’s Anthony O’Shaughnessy served one up on the BBC TV show, Masterchef. After initial trepidation, judges Greg Wallace and John Tarode hailed the Teesside delicacy as “the next big thing”.
Food lovers in the north-east know all about its wonders – now Sheffielders have a chance to embrace the parmo too.
Parmo offer a range of takes on the famous dish; they also do chicken wings, hand stretched pizzas, and loaded fries. Head over to facebook.com/weloveparmo for more details.
