There’s good vibes and good beers at our tap room

Sheffield Brewery Company, which has been serving up finely polished beers in Sheffield since 2006, has put a licensing application to Sheffield City Council in the hope that its monthly tap room can open on a more permanent basis.

Currently, the brewery offers private tours of the premises where they make their beers. However, the outdoor brewery tap room is only open to the public on the first Friday and Saturday of each month, situated opposite Peddler night market.

Sheffield Brewery Company manager Nick Law told Exposed: It’s been insane and very busy over the last few months since we opened the tap room to coincide with  Peddler. People used to come down to the area for Peddler and the tap room was just incidental. Whereas now they come to spend the whole night here because there’s good food, you don’t have to queue, we have good beer and good vibes.”

Nick tells us that there is much scope for development in the Kelham Island area and that “Sheffield lacks breweries with tap rooms”. Sheffield Brewery Company is hoping to see the relaunch of their Beer Club,  with potential tap takeovers in the works.
