Ahead of its new menu launch on 8 January, Surrey Street cocktail bar Public has released the details of one particular tipple that has been inspired by Sheffield itself.
Women of Steel, a nod to the women who worked in the city’s steel factories during both World Wars and to Martin Jennings’ famous statue outside the City Hall.
Public said: “With menu #2 we’ve taken so much inspiration from our city and it’s stories and Women of Steel is no exception. It’s an ode to Sheffield’s women of steel, who worked in the city’s factories during World War I and II. Its bronze shimmer is a nod to Martin Jennings’ beautiful statue that stands resplendent outside City Hall.”
The cocktail consists of Cocchi Rosa vermouth, Genepi, burnt strawberry and Prosecco and will be available from 8 January.
