The first Proove restaurant opened its doors in Sheffield in 2015 after co-owners Deepak Jaiswal and Rob Engledow returned from a trip to Naples with plans to unleash their pizza obsession on the Steel City. Following huge hometown success, they now boast restaurants in Manchester and Hertford.
Re-treading their road from Naples to Sheffield and beyond, they said: “With the aim to start cooking up some top-notch Neapolitan pizza from a permanent fixture, we acquired some wheels, took to the roads, and set to building a name for ourselves at outdoor events with our pop-up pizza oven.
“Fast-forward a few years, and we’ve now got a couple of restaurants in some of the coolest cities of the UK, with more to come.
“We’re committed to quality in our ingredients, our dishes, and our service. Our chefs all have top-notch tastebuds and are passionate about proper pizza, and they’ve personally crafted a menu that will make you want to order everything.”
The new Proove kitchen joins a couple of more new additions at the food hall, including Anekdoote café and the hotly anticipated Aria Bar, in the former gallery space.
Kommune has promised further announcements in the coming days, so head over to their socials for updates.
