You’ll be pleased to hear that a restaurant entirely dedicated to pies is opening in Sheffield city centre soon! The venue will be replacing Nosh on Division Street and opens to the public from Monday the 5th of March.
“We’ve wanted to open a place in Sheffield for a while. Why? Because we think it’s one of the most exciting cities we’ve visited in recent years – there seems to be lots of exciting stuff emerging here and we want to be part of the fun.
“Oh and Sheffield seems to know a thing or two about craft ale and nothing goes as well with a good pint as a good pie. We have lots of both,” says co-founder Jon Simon.
Pieminister have pledged to ’embrace everything pie’ by serving their famous award-winning pies alongside a range of local ales and cider, wines and freshly roasted coffee and cocktails (yes, they do happy hour).
Choose from over 12 different varieties including their crowd-pleasers Moo, Chicken of Aragon, Deer Stalker as well as Feta Attraction and Wild Shroom, so don’t worry if you’re a veggie. All the pies are made in-house with high quality, ethically sourced ingredients, they use free-range British meat and you can also order gluten-free pies.
Perhaps we will see a collaboration with our very own Henderson’s Relish – after all, what’s a pie without Hendo’s?
They currently have 16 branches across the UK including Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, London, and now Sheffield.
Not a pie kinda guy? They also serve up skillets, a pastry-free alternative baked in a cast iron pan which comes in the form of Moo & Brew, Mac ‘N’ Cheese, Captain Nemo and Roots Manoova.
And for dessert, tuck into their all-new soft serve ice cream sundaes, served in waffle-cone ‘pie crusts’ and made with fresh organic British milk. Click the image below to see the full menu.
They will be open seven days a week, for lunch ‘til late (and from 10am every weekend for brunch). If you just can’t wait after all that pie talk, pop into your local supermarket and try your luck there!
