Arc Inspirations, the owners of Manahatta, have revealed plans to open a second site in Sheffield as part of their BOX brand.
In contrast to their New York-inspired cocktail bar, Manahatta, BOX is a sports bar, with sites already open in Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
According to Arc Inspirations, where Manahatta is a “glamourous cocktail bar” that brings a New York feeling, BOX is a “game-changing high-quality sports bar to watch, play and party”.
Like its sister location, BOX will bring a more laid-back atmosphere in the daytime serving food and drinks while showing sports from football, rugby and cricket to the NFL and Formula 1. In the evenings it will turn into a party venue, with music and games as entertainment.
Co-founder and chief executive Martin Wolstencroft said: “We’re thrilled to be doubling our presence in the centre of Sheffield, a city where we’ve seen great success in the last year.
“Manahatta Sheffield was one of our best ever launches, and we can’t wait to bring our award-winning sports bar concept to the Steel City.”
The bar is to be built as part of Arc’s City Centre Growth strategy, creating 75 new jobs. The company aim to operate 50 bars by 2030. Other Arc Inspiration sites are expected to pop up in several other cities in the next year.
