Leopold Square’s Pho restaurant hasn’t had the best of timing so far, opening their doors just weeks before the pandemic hit, so owners and Sheffield Hallam alumni couple Stephen and Juliette Wall have vowed to do something special to mark ‘Freedom Day’, in what they’re calling their own official ‘re-opening day’ in Sheffield.

To celebrate the lifting of restrictions, the Vietnamese restaurant are for one day only giving away hundreds of FREE pho’s, curries and Saigon beers as part of a guerrilla marketing campaign around the city-centre.

A Pho flyer in the wild

Look out for flyers like this one across the city centre

This morning, you might have noticed hundreds of red flyers dotted around the city centre (like the one above), and on each one you’ll find QR codes which link to vouchers for hundreds of free dishes and drinks (see T&C’s for exactly how it works).

We’ve got a feeling you’ll find some near the train station, and as you make your way into town through Howard Street and Surrey Street, so keep your eyes peeled for them on your lunch break or as you travel in and out of town.

Stephen Wall, managing director of Pho said: “We opened our Leopold Square restaurant only four weeks before the initial lockdown of March 2020, so we’re viewing today as our re-launch day, and a proper chance to thank the people of Sheffield for their support over the last 15 months or so.

“We look forward to celebrating ‘Freedom Day’ with our regular customers as well as offering this treat to people who’ve not had a chance to come and check us out yet.”

Right, we’re off out flyer hunting. Catch you in Leopold Square!
