An urban axe throwing centre is set to open in the basement of the Paint Factory in Kelham Island this summer.
As part of the planning application submitted to the council, Battle Axe Sheffield said: “The centre would compliment the area and be a focal point for people’s activities before heading off to the Kelham Island area to enjoy the vast array of entertainment, bars and restaurants.”
The venue will have three throwing lanes with two targets on each, with sessions lasting 90 minutes. Battle Axe will open seven days a week.
It’s the second axe throwing venue to open in Sheffield this year after Valhalla opened in Heeley last month. Read how Exposed got on in this month’s VS challenge.
Battle Axe’s website says a summer opening is expected.
