On Saturday 6 April and Sunday 7 April Abbeydale Brewery will be hosting its first ‘piss up in a brewery’ since its huge November expansion.
Taking place over three sessions, the brewery team intend the event to allow ticket holders the opportunity to see the progress that Abbeydale Brewery has made on its recent push for expansion. The new units adjoin the existing Aizlewood Road premises, adding 7426 sq.ft of space. Investment has already been made into new equipment, with four new tanks recently installed to allow an increase in output along with the development of Abbeydale’s new lager, Heresy.
As you might expect from Abbeydale, an extensive line-up of beers (including some one-off exclusives created especially for the event) will be on offer alongside a small selection of special beers from guest breweries, live music and street food (including vegan and gluten free options) from Get Wurst.
Director and brewery owner Pat Morton said of the event: “We want this to be a real celebration of the journey we’ve been on over our 23 year history. At the first event we held here almost two years ago, where we shared our need to expand, the overwhelming feedback was that people wanted us to stay in this area… Our community is really important to our identity, and we’re delighted that our recent expansion means we can remain at the heart of it for many years to come.”
Tickets are available now priced at £7/£8 (plus booking fee) . Tickets include entry, a bespoke stainless steel reusable pint pot, and your first drink.
