Sheffield’s Abbeydale Brewery has received five awards at this year’s Global Beer Competition.
The brewery’s Deliverance (double IPA) won a gold medal at the awards, whilst IPA Voyager and the Unbeliever sour beer were awarded silver recommendations. Abbeydale’s flagship beer Heathen, received a bronze award along with Lost Souls imperial stout.
Office manager Laura Rangeley said: “It’s fantastic to see such a variety of our beers doing so well on a worldwide stage. Our beers in can have been going from strength to strength over the past eighteen months and to gain this recognition really does help fuel our desire to continue growing, learning, and pushing the boundaries of what we know we can achieve.”
Hosted by The Drinks Business and judged blindly by a panel of experts, the Global competition measures each entrant on the taste and the skill of its brewer.
