After 30 years, Abbeydale Brewery has found the ideal location for its very own taproom, just a short walk from the brewery.
The taproom will go by the name of Abbeydale Beerworks and will take on the lease of the former unit, Turner’s Bottle Shop, located on 298 Abbeydale Road.

Hoping to remain a destination for beer lovers, visitors can look forward to finding their latest brews and small-batch specials, as well as participating in their exclusive tasting events.
Abbeydale Brewery stated: “We really hope we can take the venue forward with the spirit of community that Rob and Alison so wonderfully instilled in Turner’s, and we can’t wait to play a new part in the neighbourhood that already means so much to us and that we’ve called home for thirty years.”
Just like the brewery and their pub, the Rising Sun, the venue will be 100% employee owned, deciding in 2024 that the best long-term custodians for the business are themselves, the people who’ve helped them to build it, together.
The team are optimistically working towards an opening date in the spring, hopefully mid-April, with opening hours for the taproom to be confirmed closer to the launch.
