After the success of their first venue, Matt Helders and James O’Hara’s second Ambulo cafe is set to open at midday on Monday 17 June.
Speaking on Facebook, the team at Ambulo said: “Delighted to announce that our second Ambulo @ Weston Park Museum will be opening at midday THIS MONDAY! Once again we have to thank all the amazing people who’ve enabled us to turn around the site in just two weeks! We really are so lucky to have friends that can turn these spaces into the light and bright cafés of our dreams! Can’t wait to show you on Monday!”
The team behind the award-winning cocktail bar Public and Arctic Monkeys’ Matt Helders are gearing up for the opening of their second all-day dining cafe. Back in February, O’Hara told Exposed: “From natural wine, speciality coffee and cocktails to the food, Ambulo wants to provide delicious produce with all the associated pretension and fetishisation stripped away. Great food and drink shouldn’t intimidate. It shouldn’t be hidden under a veil of impenetrable information and over-complicated descriptions. It should be able to be enjoyed by everyone from all generations and all backgrounds.
“It’s been a long time in the making, we probably had the idea about three years ago. Definitely pre-Public, so it’s great to see something go from being something in your head to reality.”
