4 Places to celebrate National BBQ Week in Sheffield

The sun has come out to play in Sheffield recently which means everyone has either been busy getting sunburnt in a beer garden or firing up their barbecue. And with National BBQ Week just around a corner (28th May – 3rd June), we’ve rounded up the top smokehouses in Sheffield to get your teeth stuck into.

Smoke BBQ
Multi Exposed Award winners Smoke Barbecue is Sheffield’s first authentic US-style smokehouse serving ribs, steak, burgers and all the right accompaniments, think mac ‘n’ cheese, smoked pit beans, crispy onion strings – the good stuff. All the meat is spiced, rubbed and smoked slowly for hours using oak and hickory, and then finished on an oak fire open pit. What’s not to like eh?

Red’s True Barbecue
Spanning over seven restaurants across the UK, Red’s True Barbecue are one of the fasting rising barbecue restaurants in the UK. Priding themselves on their low and slow barbecue, Red’s offer a range of high quality barbecue food from an array of barbecue meat trays, to burgers and sharing platters so go and find a group of friends and get your teeth into some serious barbecued goodness.

Firepit
It’s been one year since Firepit opened on West Street and since then they’ve caused quite a stir amongst the meat lovers in Sheffield. They pride themselves on using only locally-sourced meats with all dishes prepared fresh on the premises including their homemade rubs and sauces. Don’t forget to check out their weekly offers – half price Mondays, feeds for a fiver and XL wing Wednesday.
