This Galentine’s Day (13th Feb), the Village Screen is returning to one of Sheffield’s most spectacular locations – The Abbeydale Picture House – to celebrate the love and laughter found within female friendships with a screening of hilariously funny, Bridesmaids.
The Village Screen will be transforming Sheffield’s former Picture Palace into a cosy winter cinema, complete with beautiful lighting, quirky décor and props, a DJ on the decks, live music, delicious street food and a classic rom-com on the big screen.
Written by Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids sees maid of honour Annie turn into a bridesmaid-zilla as she leads her fellow bridesmaids on a wild ride down the road to matrimony.
Before the film screening, local street food traders will be cooking up a storm in the venue’s car park, alongside live music and a pop-up bar serving themed cocktails, hot boozy drinks, hot chocolates, prosecco, wines, and local beers. Audience members can also grab a bag of fresh popcorn before snuggling down on retro cinema seats to enjoy the movie.
Tickets are on sale now and a percentage of proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the on-going restoration work at the Abbeydale Picture House.
Tickets: Tickets are priced at £14 for adults and £12 for concessions (student, senior or child). Online booking fees apply. We are also offering a free bucket of beer or bottle of Prosecco for group bookings of 6 or more.
