After decades of serving the Steel City their fill in beer and bands, much-loved live music haven The Washington is getting a full makeover.
To celebrate, the venue will be holding a two day “rebirth” party at the start of Feb. None other than Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker will be playing a DJ set on Saturday 4th, while the 3rd sees Sheffield psychedelics Baba Naga grace the brand new fixed stage. With drinks offers at the new bar available all weekend, as well as a number of DJs and “special guests” appearing, it’s an unmissable opportunity to get down and check out the new refurb. The venue will be closed from January 22nd until the relaunch party on February 3rd. 100 guaranteed entry tickets for the Saturday are available from Jan 7th here (free, although 50p booking fee applies), and capacity on the night is strictly limited to 250 – so get down early!
