Night Strider – the night-time charity challenge in aid of St Luke’s Hospice – makes its return on 7th October for the third year running.
Last year, more than 1,000 participants took to the streets to take part in the annual nocturnal half marathon or 10k walk – which this year aims to raise more than £130,000 for patient care at St Luke’s, Sheffield’s only hospice.
Starting out in Tudor Square and heading out towards Ecclesall, the challenge is a great opportunity to enjoy some of Sheffield’s finest views by moonlight.
With no running involved, the event is open and accessible to everyone – anyone over the age of 10 is welcome and the route is suitable for wheelchair users. St Luke’s events coordinator Greg van Heeswijk says “Come along and join the party – it’s a great family night out for anybody who wants to support a fantastic cause”.
Entrance costs £25 – to sign up click here.
