The Fox and Duck
To compliment the fresh forecast why not visit the freshly refurbished Fox and Duck in Broomhill. With a brand-spanking new outdoor beer garden, drinks and food menu, this is the perfect place to watch the football or chill with friends. With an extensive gin, ale and larger collection, as well as a delicious selection of burgers, burritos, sharing platters and even Sundaes, there is certainly something on offer to nourish your appetite.
The University Arms
Oft-overlooked and yet sat right in the middle of the university campus is its name-sake boozer, the University Arms. Equipped with a conservatory, patio, benches and a lawn, the University Arms boasts a locally sourced hot-food menu and a range of the most popular real ales at cheap student prices. While there is no television to offer you another opportunity to shout at the football with your sudden-found ability to coach a professional team on the world stage, this pub does offer a nice drink to swill in this lovely weather.
The Dam House
While the Dam House offers your usual selection of cold drinkables and a standard gastronomic set-piece, it is the sprawling out-door beer garden, overlooking the lush green of Crooks Valley Park that sets this pub apart from the rest. Although, be warned, as a local favourite it will get busy.
The Gardeners Rest
Sat within Neepsend and near Kelham Island, this equally quirky pub is a community-run saloon and offers a range of locally brewed ales to sip in its wacky outdoor area. If you’re looking for a bit of character to accompany your cold one, The Gardeners Rest is for you. It is also an opportunity to support a locally owned boozer that works for its community through various charitable endeavours.
The Riverside
As edgy as England’s current set-piece dynamics, The Riverside will immerse you in the murky waters of Sheffield’s most kooky quarter with zealous aplomb. Offering a range of local ales and zingy gins with a suitable selection of hot vittles, this boozer offers a suitably situated beer garden overlooking the river and its graffiti art decorations. It only gets livelier in the evenings as well, with a buzzing music and events scene.

If you find yourself in Heely then check out the Brothers Arms. Alongside the usual offerings of booze, food and live grooves, The Brothers Arms also boasts an excellently elevated view over Sheffield to enjoy while you sink down a cold lager, peruse various ales, or chase a cold, sharp and colourful gin and tonic.

Inc. is for those looking for something more than a standard pub-garden. With an arsenal of vibrant cocktails on offer and a panoramic view of the Sheffield vista, this rooftop bar, created from up-cycled shipping containers, is also the perfect place to witness the firepower on display at the World Cup in slightly more unconventional surroundings.
