Sheffield is a city many have referred to as the ‘beer capital’ of the country, but it is equally known for world-leading research. Over May 15-17, Pint of Science festival will be celebrating both by using pubs across the city to bring researchers and the public together.
The event aims to bring a personal touch back to science, allowing the general public to meet the faces behind the research through scientific talks, interactive demonstrations and discussions – all while enjoying a good pint!
Topics include artificial intelligence; organ-on-chip technologies; climate change; stem-cell therapies and search for dark matter using the large Hadron Collider. Six different pubs are set to participate, each hosting a different theme.
