Sheff is set to get itself some prehistoric visitors as the UK’s only outside ‘dino-tour’ exhibition Jurassic Kingdom brings their animatronic creatures to Norfolk Heritage Park this Spring.

The interactive exhibition will feature 30 life-size dinosaurs, brought to life with moving heads, arms, tails, eyes and jaws, plus roaring sound effects. Crowd pleasers are sure to be the 16-metre-long Diplodocus and the 18-metre-high T-Rex, which might even have the adults in the audience feeling a little on edge.

The exhibition will include educational marquees, food and drink stalls and the bit everyone looked forward to as a kid: the gift shop.

Norfolk Park was chosen as a setting by the organisers apparently because the layout and greenery resembled the ‘natural habitat of dinosaurs’ – sounds like might be in for a fairly immersive experience then.

So if you spot any dino heads poking above the trees soon, don’t worry, you’re definitely not losing it.

Tickets available from Jurassic Kingdom here.

Jurassic Kingdom opens Saturday 26 May to Sunday 10 June,  10am – 6pm daily, apart from 4, 5 and 6 June. Last entry is at 5pm.
