Pretty Pretty Good have just announced house titan John Talabot for the first party of their Autumn season on Friday 21st September at Hope Works.

This will mark a Sheffield debut for the Spanish artist, whose productions and DJ sets have garnered a vast appeal from the house, techno, indie and disco worlds over the last decade. Talabot burst onto the scene back in 2011 with his Families EP on the indie label Young Turks, before his debut album ƒIN took his name worldwide with its balearic house and electro influences. Since then he has gone on to remix The xx and to collaborate with Axel Boman on the Talaboman project, the hypnotic debut album of which saw critical acclaim across the board last year.

He’s joined in the warehouse by another Sheffield debut from Yugoslavian Vladimir Ivkovic; a revered left-field house and techno DJ who has built his reputation through 20 years of throwing parties in Düsseldorf’s rugged underground scene and is now being recognised as one of the most beguiling selectors in the game. PPG resident Stevie Cox will also be on warm-up duties.Three rooms of music means that Hope Works will be in full flow for the first time in 2018, with Mor Elian heading up proceedings in the courtyard. She’s joined by talented Welsh DJ Gwenan and the newest PPG resident and recent CPU Records signee 96 Back.
