Exposed Magazine

Sheffield is rightly famous for its vibrant nightlife, but do you sometimes feel that you don’t make the most of the whole night from start to finish? If you plan to get together with a group of friends then there are some great ways of getting in the mood for a fantastic night out.

Watch a Football Game

Both Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United are in need of as much support as possible right now. The Owls are going through a poor run of form, at the time of writing, that sees them close to getting drawn into a relegation fight in the Championship.

Meanwhile, the Blades are in a better position in the same league but need a big push to try and secure promotion for the second successive season. You can watch a lot of both team’s games live on TV but if you can get along to either Hillsborough or Bramall Lane in person then so much the better.

Cheering on an important victory for your favourite South Yorkshire team is the ideal way to get your night off to a rocking start.

Do Something Interesting at Home

Of course, staying in with your mates can be a fine way of getting warmed up for hitting the best nightspots in the city. Yet, you may worry that doing this either sees the excitement fizzling out or that everyone drinks too much alcohol to truly enjoy the rest of the night.

Therefore, it makes sense to look at some of the top options for getting the night started at home. Maybe you could make some creative snacks or watch some comedy together, for example. Alternatively, you could look through some old photos together that remind you the best nights you have had together in the past.

Another fun option is to look for online clairvoyant readings that give you and your friends an insight into what the future could hold in store for you. This is often seen as a fun way of finding out about your future but it could also bring more serious benefits by letting you get a glimpse into the world that lies beyond what we can see.

Listen to the Best New Music

Sheffield has long had a terrific music scene that has produced famous bands such as The Human League, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys and Def Leppard. So, who are the people out there who are now making the best new music in Sheffield right now?

The likes of Floodhounds, Liberty Ship and Sheafs are all names worth keeping an eye on. You could listen to some of this great new music at home on Spotify or you could head out to start the evening listening to live music in a club, a bar or a live event like Tramlines Festival.

Try Something Different to Eat

Sheffield has a tremendously varied range of restaurants for you to try. From Mexican, to Indian, to French, to Italian, there is something here for every taste.

For example, the recent opening of the Wrapchic restaurant has brought us the possibility of Indian food mixed with Mexican-style burritos and wraps. You could get into the mood for an unforgettable night by trying out something new and exciting to eat before heading to the pubs and clubs.
