We’ve picked out 5 of Sheff’s freshest club nights this year so you don’t have to. Check out these exciting independent promoters throwing the best in disco, house, techno and more…
Cosmic Disco
With the highest levels of production in the Steel City, Cosmic Disco’s giant walk-in disco ball and light up dancefloor are only matched by their bookings, who are quite simply the biggest disco DJs in the world. Dimitri from Paris, Nightmares on Wax, John Morales and Late Nite Tuff Guy have all graced their decks, with the one and only Joey Negro up next at their favourite haunt of Theatre Delicatessen.
Pretty Pretty Good
Pretty Pretty Good have been bringing the biggest names in house and techno thick and fast to both Sheffield and Leeds, putting on a huge range of events from intimate Mondays at the Harley with Pearson Sound to quintuple-booking raves at Hope Works with Deetron, DJ Qu, Roy Davis Jr, Objekt and Shanti Celeste. With an afterparty at Outlines Festival (March 4th) and an event with Rush Hour’s San Proper (Jan 28th) both in the pipeline, 2017 is looking to be another big year for PPG.
Saul’s Sessions
Disco and House promoters Saul’s Sessions are very quickly becoming one of the most exciting nights on the scene, with their cartoon character Saul as their mascot. After booking Al Zanders (aka Lodger) for their debut, plus packing out The Harley on a Monday with Project Pablo and collaborating with PPG to bring Peggy Gou to town, this crew’s ball is well and truly rolling. Book your session with Saul at their residents party on February 9th and next big do in May.
Hunie Presents
Hunie Presents threw some of the best of the city’s parties last year. With their residents’ ‘Discovery’ shindigs at Haggler’s Corner, and huge bookings in Jeremy Underground and Maurice Fulton at The Night Kitchen and Trafalgar Warehouse respectively, be sure to keep an eye on their disco and house events for 2017.
Front and Back
UK bass and techno promoters Front and Back have been bringing a string of high class bookings to the Harley in the shape of Hodge, Paleman and Addison Groove. Up next is their first two room event at Hope Works’ courtyard and Little Mesters with the massive London duo Dark Sky and XL’s Hugo Massien on February 11th.
