Detroit master Marcellus Pittman and NZ brothers Chaos in the CBD have just been announced for the Nice Like Rice at Yellow Arch Studios on Friday, October 27th.
Nice Like Rice are famed for their extravagant parties with out of this world decor and world class house and disco lineups. After the announcement of their , the boys are back in town with another huge event at Yellow Arch Studios this Halloween.
Featuring monstrous amounts of spooky decor, giant pumpkins, cauldrons, seemingly endless tunnels and perhaps even the occasional actor in disguise, Yellow Arch will be kitted out over 3 rooms, including the new warehouse room which is yet to be used on this scale. Room 3 will feature a takeover by LGBT arts collective Fruit n Juice.
Headlining rooms 1 & 2 are Marcellus Pittman and Chaos in the CBD, hailing from Detroit and New Zealand respectively. Many of Pittman’s productions and remixes are considered house classics with the amount of airtime they have received at parties over the years. Once the prestigious 3 Chairs (Theo Parrish, Moodymann and Rick Wilhite) invited him into their tight-knit DJ supergroup, Pittman’s reputation as one of the best house and disco selectors worldwide was cemented.
Meanwhile Chaos in the CBD have had a meteoric rise in the past 6 months, after 2 incredibly well received releases on Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section label – and are already establishing themselves as one of the best DJ duo’s on the circuit. The pair are renowned for their atmospheric yet energetic deep house, and party starting attitude.
