Yorkshire may be well-known for producing top cricketers, but many overlook that this part of the UK is the home to some of the best golfing holiday spots.
On a map of Yorkshire, the first thing you notice is its enormous vastness — North Yorkshire alone is more significant in size than any other English county, while South Yorkshire boasts some of the most talked about golf courses in the world.
Therefore, it’s not surprising that Yorkshire as a whole has more golf clubs than any other region. Ranging from the Dore and Totley Golf Club and course to some fantastic heathland and parkland courses, then on to the stunning views and luxury facilities at Abbeydale Golf Club, where after play activity includes a visit to the well-stocked clubhouse and bar.
Starting with the small but perfectly formed Birley Wood Golf Club.
