Sean Lehnhardt-Moore’s first Belstaff collection is all about the brand’s ‘Great British Roots.’ From aviation to the navy, each piece in this collection reveals an element of Belstaff’s past, ranging all the way back to 1920. The range was showcased at the London Fashion Week earlier in the year.
Lehnhardt-Moore refreshed the classic Belstaff silhouettes with sturdy materials and fresh new colours. The collection is divided into four compass points, each focusing on an era of the past. As a capsule collection, each piece fits seamlessly together so you don’t have to spend hours styling them. If you are constantly on the go and chasing your next adventure, then this collection is the one for you.
Check out the key pieces of the collection and how we would style them!
Outward Bound
This compass point is all about Belstaff in the 1920s. The brand focused on protective travelling gear, from hiking, exploring to camping. Although, the revamped collection is far more comfortable and cosy than a camping trip. It features the Wing Waxed Jacket and the Shearling Car Coat. Both of which look perfect paired with a ribbed roll neck for an autumnal layered look. Belstaff’s quilted puffers are made for the great outdoors! Who said warm and stylish didn’t go together?
Dockland
For Dockland, think military and naval uniforms. This point of the collection used navy, dark indigo and splashes of silver and olive to liven up the simple style. Did you know that Belstaff used to be an outfitter for the Royal Navy? If you are after a classic military coat, check out the Milford Coat in black with oversized lapels. Or, for men and women, invest in the Naval Pea Coat to wear over chunky knitwear.
The Dockland’s also takes a turn for denim. The classic Trialmaster has been redesigned in a dark denim for a timeless, crisp look.
The Machine Age
Calling all drivers, aviators and motorcyclists – this section is for you! The pieces are in black, bone and blackberry to encompass the ultimate biker style. For men, the Denesmere Jacket features lambskin leather with a four pocket silhouette. And for the girls, the Sidney Leather Cape uses a fashionable silhouette and is perfect to wear over a wool cashmere jumper.
Northern Grit
If you’re into clothes that are a little more down to Earth, check out the Northern Grit section. Brown is the key colour here. The Vincent Biker Jacket combines leather and shearling to keep you cosy and fashionable. However, if you’re after something a little more unusual – try the Trail Jacket and enjoy it’s detachable black shearling and corduroy collar.
Belstaff’s A/W collection can be found in any of their new concept stores opened in 2019. The newest store being the Regent Street store. It caters for every customer with the offering of a G&T or coffee, a place for events and a wax jacket repair service.
