Although a subsidiary of Prada, Miu Miu stands out in the fashion world in its own right for its perfection in capturing youthful dynamism in multifaceted contradictions.

Miu Miu began its journey in 1992 – as primarily a passion project of its designer Miuccia Prada. The name is a masterpiece in that regard, with it deriving from the founder’s family nickname. Under the umbrella of the more-established Prada, this passion project was supposed to work as a means of experiment, something to pursue abrasive inspirations that often comes into the designer’s mind.

After a couple of decades into its existence, Miu Miu established itself in its own right. Miuccia Prada didn’t really hold back in making the brand a synthesizer of private expression, and fashionistas from all around the world – young and old embraced it with love, enthusiasm, and adorations.

The Spirit of Miu Miu – the Fashion Brand

So what makes Miu Miu – the fashion brand tickle? To find out, one must dig deeper into the thinking process and spirit of its visionary founder. Miuccia Prada starts the explorations of materials from the immaterial, and hence, focuses on the mood rather than the style itself. Once the mood is set, the style would take its shape in the material anyways.

Therefore, each collection of the fashion house can be viewed as a take on the socio-political environment of the world. It tends to deliver a dialogue between the opposites, trying to strike a balance between expressions and authenticity, often ruffling a few feathers of the establishments.

This philosophy of the designer, in turn, makes the brand an oasis for youthful vigour, its endless dynamism and explorations of passions. The brand primarily explored the senses of New York, London, and Milan also helped to create its own spine, which now combines perfectly with the historically elegant Parisian backdrop.

Our Favourites from the Collections of Miu Miu

At a time when the world seems to be in a contradiction in every turn, Miuccia Prada seems to have been fired up to envision a dialogue between two opposites. She masterfully expressed that in her latest collection, which inevitably highlighted a few new measures of sophistication and elegance, yet didn’t try to cancel the traditions or the heritage.

Showcased in the backdrop of Parisian cultural heritages, as is the norm since 2006, Miu Miu always brings something unique to the offering. So, it’s pretty difficult to narrow down the favourites. Yet, we can’t hide our love for the cute quilted bag or that awesome pair of baby pumps!

Need to get things a little sassy? The mini skirt in red would effortlessly do so, just like a blooming flower. The patent boots, on the other hand, would keep no secret about who is in control. Interestingly, items like the Vichy twill jacket, Cupido shirt, or the Cardigan offer a beautiful glimmer of femininity – an ultimate symbol of the youthful contradictions that go through the veins of the brand.
