More and more of us are prioritising experiences over ‘things’ in a move that prioritises creating memories that we can cherish forever, rather than simply acquiring objects that break after 6 months.

Whether you’re using savings or personal loans to finance your adventures, we’ve curated a list of three premium experiences (in ascending price) that are worth paying for in 2022/23.

Hang Loose adventure at the Eden Project

You may know the Eden Project as a unique Biodome, built around the turn of the millennium to allow visitors to experience the flora of multiple habits in South-West England.

What you may not be aware of is their exciting Hang Loose zip line adventure. The most expensive package is £95 per adult or 8+ child, and for that price, you’ll zip, swing, trek, jump, drop, and inverse swing your way to joy throughout a morning or afternoon!

Leiths School of Food and Wine

Are you interested in upgrading your food preparation skills to chef-level and taking your weekday meals to the next level?

You might be interested in attending a food class at one of the UK’s premier cookery schools; Leiths School of Food and Wine.

The London-based organisation was founded in 1975 by Dame Prue Leith, who co-judges the iconic TV show The Great British Bake Off, which airs on BBC from August to October each year.

We recommend the Essential Cooking Certificate which is a full-time course that runs over 4 weeks. The initial deposit is £400, and in total, you’ll pay £3,175 for the full course duration.

Formula 1 Paddock Club experience at Silverstone

If you’re looking for adrenaline, celebrity, large crowds, and a healthy dose of jeopardy, you may find what you are looking for with the Formula One racing series.

Formula One needs no introduction. Its iconic racing cars and iconic drivers have featured in the headlines for over 7 decades since its founding in the 1950s.

You can now be part of the excitement and receive VIP status among the 400,000+ people who flock to the Silverstone motor racing circuit in Northamptonshire to watch the only British race that features on the annual F1 calendar.

Silverstone has benefited from much investment in recent years that has allowed its audience capacity to break records in 2022, and one of the ways Silverstone is attracting fans is with premium hospitality experiences that truly cannot be missed. The most expensive (but in our view – worth it) ticket to buy comes in the form of the Paddock Club.

The Paddock Club is Formula One’s brand name for a VIP location close to the pit lane, with elevated views and dedicated covered seating to allow you to enjoy the action. The views combine good angles of the track with a glimpse of the frenzied activity in the garages themselves. To finish the package off, add a sprinkling of high-quality catering and free drinks through the racing weekend.

Specific perks enjoyed by Paddock club members include a guided tour of the pit lane, known as a pit walk, where you may have the chance to meet your favourite driver. You’ll also be able to attend interview events and watch the action unfold on large screens, so you won’t miss any of the action.

Less than 0.1% of fans arrive with a Paddock Club pass and that’s because prices start at £2,000, however, for a strictly limited, once-per-year event, this is not surprising. Considering that the ‘Great and the Good’ will all want to get their hands on these desirable tickets, we’re surprised they don’t cost more. Tickets for the July 2023 Grand Prix are expected to go on sale in November 2022.
